ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Prof. Jerushia McDonald-Hylton is an international best-selling author, global peace ambassador, and dedicated mother. Appointed by Reverend Sun Moon of the Unification Church, she has passionately promoted peace and unity worldwide. In 1989, she founded Women with a Vision International, which later evolved into the Global United Voices Network (G.U.V.N.), uniting and healing diverse communities.

Jerushia's journey began as a single mother at 16 in Las Vegas, eventually leading her to New York, where she broke barriers as the first African American full-figured model featured in Vogue, Essence, and Ebony. Her inspiring story has been shared on shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show and Good Morning America.

Currently, Jerushia is working on three books, including Dancing in Darkness, Evolving Women, and Black Cross, each exploring themes of resilience, spirituality, and women's empowerment. She is also relaunching her talk show, The Wrapping with Mama Rue, to continue her mission of spreading love, hope, and unity.
