It is a tale of myth and legend, that explores the mysticism of the female divine and its intrinsic connection with nature. The greater the schism from the world of greed and power, the greater the connection with the true infinite power of Mother Earth.

The state of the Kingdom is in upheaval, tainted by the greed of man. Nymanne seeks to dissolve the unjust patriarchal laws that serve only to subjugate women. She wishes to revive the ancient matriarchal rule that lives in harmony with nature and honours the Mother Goddess Modron.

??This novel not only acts as a dissolution of the misconceptions on the powerful female characters, but also reveals the discriminatory

nature of patriarchal societies, and how women are often demeaned, demoralised and demonised. Nymanne is very much a crystallization of

the degradation of women through the indoctrination of patriarchal structures. She is at once the merging of the traditional personalities of the

Lady of the Lake and Morgana, as described by Geoffrey of Monmouth's "Vita Merlini", characters that were later portrayed in various Christian based Arthurian tales, such as Thomas Malory's "Le Morte d'Arthur", as a wicked sorceress, since powerful female characters were subsequently

equated with all that is evil.
