In the northern part of Macca, a communist state that allows residents to leave their house after a long lockdown, Malcolm, a poet who has been stalked, has to take good care of his boyfriend, Karl, a man whose leg got amputated, which means leaving his mother, Vanessa, who has Alzheimer's disease, with Betty. Horrified at Vanessa's vanishing, Malcolm does something evil. His memory starts to be distorted. He, then, questions about what really happens, who he is, and what the meaning of life really is.
