Fundamentals of Electronics is a comprehensive book illustrating the basics of electronics written for the students who are following the G.C.E (A/L) physics, the first year basic electronic courses in physics and engineering stream in a university and the technical courses related to electrical and electronics. Although there are several textbooks available in Electronics, the main objective of this book is to present the subject matter in a simple and lucid style so that it can be easy to comprehend the relevant concepts and learn the techniques to solve problems. There are nine chapters covering various aspects of basic electronics in this book. Each chapter comprises within it numerous well labelled illustrations, drawings, graphs and tables. In order to give an opportunity for the learner to examine his/her understanding of the concepts behind the subject and to enhance the problem solving techniques, problems in the form of questions have been framed under the following categories - conceptual questions, numerical questions and practice questions. These questions are included at the end of each chapter. Answers to most of the questions are given at the end of the book. The author believes that this book will enable the students to have a thorough assessment of their understanding of the subject and develop their problem solving techniques in a more appropriate mode.
