When Peter Blue was born, there was a big fuss at GAIA as he was considered to be a legendary boy who would one day live up to being the hero he is predicted to be. Young Peter isn’t sure what this means and his parents won’t be able to enlighten him: his mom, a renowned scientist, was the intended target of a fatal fire and his special agent dad, long considered to have died along with her, was recently identified as being alive but held captive by the evil Anthrog Overlords - the growing threat to Earth, demons born out of garbage dumps, who now show up as wildfire disasters and killer storms.
As Peter and his fellow students submit to challenges and learn skills to address extreme weather, rising sea levels, melting ice caps, and desertification, they also are fostering connections to nature - being able to communicate with trees, using optics and technology to shape-shift into other animals and plants. But all along, Peter is desperately trying to find ways to locate his father - using a high-tech GAIA jacket he left behind - and understand the meaning of his own existence and why people believe he is a legend.
