Damaris Calderon (La Habana, 1967) es poeta, narradora, pintora y ensayista. Ha publicado, entre otros, Duro de roer (1999), Silabas. Ecce Homo (2000), Los amores del mal (2006), Parloteo de Sombra (2009), El remoto pais imposible (2010) y Las pulsaciones de la derrota (2013). En 2011 obtuvo la beca Simon Guggenheim y en 2014 le fue otorgado el Premio Altazor a las Artes en el genero de poesia, y el Premio a la mejor obra publicada por el Consejo nacional del Libro y la Lectura. Reside en Isla Negra, Chile.
