Rolando Sanchez Mejias (Holguin, 1959) fue fundador del proyecto Diaspora(s) y entre 1997 y 2002 codirigio la revista homonima. Ha publicado, entre otros, los volumenes de narrativa Historias de Olmo (2001) y Cuaderno de Feldafing (2003), y los volumenes de poesia Calculo de lindes (2000) y Cuaderno blanco (2006). En 1993 y 1994 recibio en Cuba el Premio Nacional de la Critica. Desde 1997 vive exiliado en Barcelona.
