The Elfin Stone

As I stood on the corner of the familiar old street, clenching mymittened fingers against the Icelandic cold, I watched him approach.For one icy second, or maybe two, the blood stopped flowing. My heartturned into a strawberry lolly. There was something eerily magical inthe thick white air. I had a flashback to that moment we shared: themoment our eyes locked, as we stood beside the Elfin stone.
