Pakistan has a long and strong relationship with China. The long-standing ties between the two countries have been mutually beneficial. Since the 1962 Sino-Indian War, Pakistan has supported China on most issues of importance to the latter, especially those related to the question of China’s sovereignty Looking into the future, China’s expanding influence in Central Asia and its interest in overland access to the Arabian Sea could motivate even stronger links with Pakistan.
