Stateless stands out for me because, in those poems, I tried to relate to the states of my being and that of the country of my birth Nigeria and Africa. The country Nigeria lately has been in a stateless condition and that has even made its citizens start looking for another country where they can call their own. In the entire collection, you will find poems that are personally speaking of dirge and wish for a better life for everyone regardless of whether they are members of the elite group which has held the state in a stateless condition even after our emancipation from colonialism.
