People’s Linguistic Survey Of India

The People's Linguistic Survey of India attempts to give an idea of the extant and dying languages of India. It is the outcome of a nationwide survey of languages that has been documented by linguists, writers, social activists, and members of different speech communities. Karnataka has been home to some of the most powerful empires of ancient and medieval India. As a result, this state is a melting pot of people, cultures and languages, and this makes it a unique case study.
