If the story of life were to be told, a wide range of emotions such as joy, sorrow, anger, envy, love would come into play. This volume presents a collection of stories told by Acharya Mahaprajna which explores different facets of myriad human emotions. Drawing on some universal traits in human behaviour they help us understand our own emotions and channelize them towards better ends; how the right perspective can turn a difficult situation into an opportunity. His Holiness Acharya Mahaprajna (15 June1920 - 9 May 2010) was a philosopher and spiritual guru of the Jain Swetambar Terapanth community. Initiated at the age of ten, Acharya Mahaprajna learned the practice of non-violence and restraint. In order to develop equanimity which, he said, is the precursor to the practice of non-violence, he developed a system of meditation called Preksha Dhyan: to look within and calm oneself to a state of peace and feeling of amity towards one and all. He led the Anuvrat movement initiated by his guru to build moral values in each individual and society as a whole and walked the entire length and breadth of India with this message. A scholar and writer proficient in Sanskrit, Prakrit, Hindi and Rajasthani, Acharya Mahaprajna wrote more than 200 books in all genres of writing; prose, poetry, fiction and philosophy.
