Venkat Krishnan, a sixty years head of the household, has been stabbed to death in the study of his Amrit Villa

Detective Mayur Varma is asked by Venkat's younger brother, Arun Krishnan, to investigate the crime.

Mayur interviews Venkat's second wife, his son, and others and gathers the clues in and around the Amrit Villa. He along with his junior Aisha Mishra and Inspector Prakash Malhotra find that the mystery is deeper than they have thought.

Mayur understands Venkat had been angry because his second wife, Bhavya Krishnan, is still in love with her childhood friend. Venkat's son and daughter are unhappy because Venkat didn't allow them to marry their out-of-caste love interests. Also, Venkat's neighbor holds a grudge as Venkat sent him to jail for molesting a young housemaid. The cook of the Krishnan family has a motive as Venkat refused to help him monetarily.

Venkat's loved ones disliked him because he never wanted to share his ancestral property with them.

While Mayur investigates the case, the killer commits two more murders, making the investigation even more difficult.

If you are a fan of Agatha Christie, Dorothy L Sayers, and Sherlock Holmes detective fiction, this book is for you!

Will Mayur and his colleagues find the killer of Venkat Krishnan? Do they overcome the hurdles before they catch the real culprit? Read on...
