Trade liberalisation programme has become operational through the introduction of the South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA) among South Asian nations. The agreement includes tobacco and tobacco products under the ‘sensitive list’. This document lists ways in which trade in tobacco products can be managed under SAFTA in the context of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.
