It's 2006. Wolf is screwing his way through life until an intriguing man unexpectedly turns his head. It turns out to be an impossible love. Will Wolf manage to find his balance again?

Shadowland is the debut of GJ Wielinga (1971), released in Dutch in 2008. The autobiographical novella is written in a mixture of letters, musings, poetry, and short stories.

The reviews at the time were mixed. From 'just like a bitch' and 'maniacal' to 'definitely bold and daring in terms of style and structure.' Wielinga, in any case, still stands behind this work. 'This is who I was and what I could do. The first time I let my voice be heard.'
