This work brings together versions in English of 16 articles published in journals and festschrift volumes over the 1980s and 1990s. The articles are revised and selected from those which deal with questions of love, religion and politics in 15th-century Spain. The text aims to provide insights into complex relationships between real life and imaginative writing in a turbulent period of Spanish history.
