La ricerca storica, a partire dalla stessa Scrittura, e poi i Padri e via via lungo i secoli fino ai nostri giorni serve a comprendere e chiarire quanto fin qui affermato, anche se proprio la storia -e specialmente in Occidente- vede drammaticamente il trasformarsi dell'omilia celebrativa in discorso morale, sociologico, psicologizzante, politico, realta tutte che nulla hanno a che vedere con lo spezzare la Parola-Pane, di cui tutti i Battezzati hanno diritto. Sicuramente anche di questi aspetti la Chiesa deve trattare, ma non e la celebrazione il tempo e il luogo adatto.
