Mark Holden is a London-based thriller writer. Following a mugging, he ends up in the hospital, but apart from a few bruises and the theft of his leather bag containing his agenda, he hasn't lost anything. His fear of suffering from amnesia is ruled out. Mark is trying to finish his latest work, a trilogy featuring the adventurous Mr. Harris, but his dream is to pursue a career in the theater, as befits any self-respecting English author. Given the success of his thrillers, he knows the proposal will face opposition, but being the best friend of the publisher should be of help. The only element of novelty is the arrival of a new neighbor, Judy Morgan. The two bond immediately. Judy even manages to find a craftsman capable of replicating the stolen leather bag. However, for Mark, this new bag, identical to the old one, conveys a strange sensation, almost like deja vu. As if he and Judy had known each other for much longer. As if the idea of amnesia were no longer so implausible. ============================== Author's biography: Giulia Pretta was born in Vercelli in 1987 and has been a resident of Padua since 2009. She holds a degree in archaeology and is determined to debunk the myth that claims you can't make a living with culture. For years, she has been navigating through museums and art exhibitions as both a visitor and a professional. The rest of her time is dedicated to words. She writes book reviews for several online magazines, continuously hones her skills as an editor, is a writer and a book blogger, and aspires to be a pastry chef.
