The parish church of San Gennaro in Capannori (Lucca) houses a polychrome terracotta statue, depicting an Announcing Angel, which in 1999 was attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. The volume analyzes the work from a historical and iconographic point of view, and recounts the restoration, made by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure of Florence, which returned the work to its original splendor.
