The Danish representative at the Venice Biennale 2024

Greenland's history has been narrated for decades through images captured by outsiders. This is something artist and photographer Inuuteq Storch aims to change. Since childhood, he has documented his homeland and the lives of Greenlanders. In 2024, Storch, as the first artist from the North Atlantic part of the Danish Realm, will represent Denmark at one of the world's most prestigious art exhibitions, the Venice Biennale.

Furthermore, it is the first time a photographic artist is exhibited in the Danish Pavilion. In his projects, Inuuteq Storch uses found photographic materials such as family photos and historical records, which gain new relevance in combination with Storch's contemporary photos of everyday life in Greenland.
