Watercolours by Hans J. Wegner

Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) is considered one of the most creative, innovative and productive furniture designers in Denmark. His way with the materials he used for his designs and the complex constructions he produced has led to his success and recognition in Denmark as well as internationally. Throughout his career he produced beautiful watercolours that sheds an individual and tender perspective on his design process. His watercolours hold a power of seduction that no technical drawing possesses. The use of light and shading comes into its own in the watercolours, making the chair, the table and the interior come to live. They almost allow us to feel the smooth surface of the wood and the delicate structure of the textile.
