En el barrio de Cerdanyola de Mataro encuentran el cadaver torturado del director de una sucursal bancaria. Aunque en principio parece que el difunto era una persona que se habia granjeado bastantes enemigos, ninguna de las pistas parece aportar luz en la resolucion del caso. Durante la semana previa a la Navidad del ano 2010, se suceden a ritmo vertiginoso nuevos y extranos acontecimientos, hasta que la inspectora Lola Moreno consigue desentranar un enigma, del que -sin saberlo- ha sido protagonista desde el principio.
