Episodios Nacionales IV. La Vuelta Al Mundo En La Numancia

La vuelta al mundo en la Numancia is the eigth novel of the fourth series of Episodios Nacionales by Benito Perez Galdos. Diego, the narrator, is a veteran of naval battles whose daughter runs off with a poet. In his search for her, Galdos recounts the historical elements of political instability and the alliance between Chile and Peru, as well as horrible battles. In doing so, the author appeals to a sense of universal brotherhood. In the end, Diego is reunited with his daughter.
