This book brings together different works by Nicolas Ortigosa, including his particular interpretation of ‘The Divine Comedy’, by Dante Alighieri, a series comprised of 89 drawings and engravings with different techniques that express the mental images he experienced when reading the Italian classic. The varied formats and media in which his drawings are exhibited reflect a character that is more lyrical than illustrative, and they are more closely linked to abstract language than to figurative language. The works, produced between 2002 and 2018 encompass sixteen years of the artistic trajectory of this interesting artist. The book is published as part of the exhibition showed in Bombas Gens Centre d'Art, Valencia. AUTHOR: Nicolas Ortigosa (Logrono, 1983) is a draughtsman and painter who trained at the Art School in his native city and at the Fine Arts Faculty of Barcelona, where he exhibited for the first time (2008). Since then, his artistic trajectory has positioned him as one of the most promising artists on the current Spanish art scene.
