Join Us! 57th Venice Art Biennale

This catalogue presents the project !Unete! / Join us! created by Jordi Colomer, together with curator Manuel Segade. It is a proposal that combines video, sculpture and architecture; a rich and complex work with many references and layers of meaning, which seeks the viewer’s complicity from its very title. This invitation is, after all, an argument in favour of art as an invigorating and mobilising tool, one that is able to generate a reflection upon trending issues of our time, about our condition as individuals and also as part of a community. Arte viva (live/alive art), as the Biennale’s motto reads. In Venice, in the contemporary art centre, Spain’s pavilion poses an invitation to get to know the vitality of a country where culture and arts stand as key assets.
