The following volume is the fifth Polish volume to appear in the Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum series. It continues the publication of the ancient Greek coins in the collection of The Department of Coins and Medals of National Museum in Warsaw. The holdings of the Department come chiefly from private collections donated or bought during the first half of the twentieth century. The basis of the ancient collection is the gift of Dr. Wladyslaw Semerau-Siemianowski in 1921, later supplemented by other acquisitions including the collection of Bosporan coins of Dr. Ignacy Terlecki. These together constitute about 90% of the contents of this volume which presents the next part of the collection, this time the first part of the minting of the Bosporan rulers, from Leucon II to Ininthimeus.
