It is significant that these poems present before us direct and undistorted intuitions. The most noticeable characterstic of these poems is the poet's ability to probe the mysteries of life. In several poems included in this collection we find that the poet is able "to strike the barren rock for the gushing moisture" due to his power of seeing things in a new way. The sharp conciseness of the style aptly shows that the poet is a meticulous artist.

BIO Jan Coulter is a poet living in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada, with her eleven year old Border Collie. Writing from the heart, Jan weaves landscape into a rich tapestry, with a considered approach to detail. She is a retired cabinet maker, having made fine furniture in The Arts and Crafts Tradition, for over thirty years.
