The Voice and the Will: Subaltern Agency

The relevance and reliability of human science are no more beyond dispute. The studies in this book are prompted by epistemological concerns representing various ways in which social knowledge is produced. It attempts to explore approaches and methods apt to meet crucial questions of legitimacy and validity. The focus is on the processes which tend to modify established orders with regard to values or representations, attitudes, codes or norms. The concern here is primarily with the agency of any subaltern agent.
