Amory Blaine is a young man who experiments with literature while studying at the Princeton University. The novel has two books with an interlude in between. Book one is called The Romantic Egotist and Book two is called The Education of a Personage. Amory would have served in the army and has two failed romantic relationships. This Side of Paradise is the first novel penned by Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald brings out a touch of drama, free verse and even poetry through the character Amory in the novel. A must read for F.
