"Joseph Andrews" is a novel by Henry Fielding, first published in 1742. The book is a humorous and satirical take on the popular literary genre of the time, the romance novel.
The story follows the adventures of the titular character, Joseph Andrews, a young footman who is determined to remain faithful to his beloved Fanny despite the many temptations that come his way. Along the way, he encounters a variety of colorful characters, including the lecherous Lady Booby and the kind-hearted Parson Adams.
