He grew up between America and Europe and studied philosophy and journalism at the Pontifical "Angelicum University" in Rome, Italy. While employed at the Vatican City he was an editor on the International News Desk of Vatican News. Mr. Hoejer is a published poet and playwright. He is currently a high school humanities teacher.
