This research was carried out in order to evaluate two varieties of couve cultivation in the soil and climatic conditions in the locality of Mukolongodjo. The experiment was conducted in the cooperative R. L Cantinho do Chicote, municipality of Cuvelai, the varieties analyzed by treatments are: T1 Couve (Brassica Oleracea L. var. troncuda o portugues), T2 Couve (Brassica Oleracea L. var. manteiga I -1811 (B)). Growth variables evaluated: plant height (cm), number of leaves (U), diameter of the pseudostem (cm) and leaf length and compression (cm). Yield variables and their components: Massa Fresca de Folhas (g). The best results for the growth and leaf weight variables were obtained in the T1 treatment (Couve (Brassica Oleracea L. var. troncuda o portugues)) for the soil and climatic conditions of the locality. The economic results were positive in the two treatments
