Crassostrea oyster shells, which are commercially exploited in the Moralillo Municipality of Panuco, Veracruz, represent a contamination problem. After consuming the edible part of the oyster, people discard the shells in the streets or in public places and even in landfills, causing a bad appearance, poor hygiene and the spread of pests. Therefore, this research aims to provide a solution to this contamination problem and to recycle this waste to obtain a material for environmental purposes for use in the production of hydraulic concrete and to evaluate the impact it may have on its mechanical properties.
