Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) represents a major challenge in terms of patient care, healthcare costs and quality of life. Like any chronic disease, it requires good patient adherence to the necessary care. The aim of this study was to assess the views of general practitioners on therapeutic education for COPD patients. Two questionnaires were used with COPD patients. Physicians were asked about functional signs, positive diagnosis, management and their views on therapeutic education. According to this study, the role of education should be better defined and clearly ensured in a multidisciplinary way by integrating the general practitioner for the benefit of the patient.
