Nowadays, mobile devices are already part of users' lives, mainly for checking emails, accessing social networks, making payments or surfing the Internet, and also because of the need to be connected 24 hours a day. In addition, the number of viruses and attacks by malicious people on mobile devices is growing every day, mainly as a result of behavioural actions by users who don't configure their mobile device correctly, leaving it vulnerable. Actions such as not putting a password on the home screen, not encrypting the memory card, not using an antivirus, downloading unofficial applications and others are examples of user misconfiguration. Therefore, in order to help users configure their mobile devices correctly, this work aims to develop a strategy for minimising security risks on mobile devices. The strategy consists of developing a solution called MSC - Mobile Security Check, which aims to help the user search for misconfigurations of the mobile device in terms of security based on 16 pre-configured items in relation to the misconfiguration.
