This book studies Fayga Ostrower's creation of patterns for fabric prints between 1952 and 1967 in Rio de Janeiro, as well as her relationship with design. Fayga Ostrower's creative phase lasted almost 15 years and produced more than 500 fabric patterns, 179 of which are catalogued at the Fayga Ostrower Institute in Rio de Janeiro. Together with other artists, Fayga took part in fashion collections that used "artists' fabrics" to promote national identity around the world in the 1960s. This project was sponsored and implemented by the multinational Rhodia. It's also about the relationship between the artist's various creative media and the noise they cause between them. And how this simultaneous artistic making in various materials constituted the work of the multiple artist Fayga Ostrower.
