The preparation of Physical Education teachers has presented deficiencies and insufficiencies in the knowledge of essential elements in the treatment of the specific motor skills of Basketball, due to the incorrect use of the methodology to work them, scarce use of games and exercises in addition to the poor command of the current regulations, therefore a training strategy was proposed for the preparation of Physical Education teachers in the treatment of these skills, starting from the causes that provoke them, detected through a diagnosis and the use of methods of the theoretical level: analytical-synthetic, historical-logical, inductive-deductive, modeling and system approach. Methods and techniques of the empirical level: observation, interview, survey, in addition to percentage analysis as a mathematical method. The novelty lies in the fact that it provides new elements to comply with the objectives set by current Physical Education, offering the proposal of theoretical-practical workshops and supported by a Manual of activities to treat the specific motor skills of Basketball created by the author himself.
