The tractor drawn implements tillage system with rotavator tillage system. Different combinations of tillage system selected for study were ploughing, ploughing + cultivating, ploughing + disc harrowing, ploughing + Rotavating, Single operation of rotavator and double operation of rotavator. The study it was observed that the showed an increase in the field capacity with the increase in the speed of operation. the highest field capacity was of obtained at the maximum speed of 5.21 kmph. The highest field efficiency was obtained in the plot 20x60 sq. m. area combination of ploughing gave the highest performance index of 83.34 % and energy consumption 586.73 MJ/ha followed by rotavator operation observed performance index 25.75, and energy consumption 761.6 MJ/ha. Compared to other combinations of tillage systems by considering field performance index and energy requirement the combination of double rotavator operations was found to be most suitable combination of tillage system for seed bed preparation.
