Generating electricity from solar energy can be used even during periods of lower solar radiation. In this way, as well as being a renewable source and reducing or zeroing out the local utility's energy consumption, it also helps to reduce costs and allows the return on investment to happen long before the useful life of the photovoltaic system ends. Therefore, this work consists of a case study of photovoltaic electricity generation in a model home in the city of Iuna - ES, showing that despite the variables imposed by nature and the fact that it is an expensive source to install, it is still viable to convert solar energy into electricity.
