In Burkina Faso, psychosocial support for child victims of sexual violence is not a sideline of social policies, as demonstrated by the presence of a number of support centers. However, despite the efforts made, the effective use of these centers by these children remains low.In addressing this issue, we aim to describe and analyze the factors that limit the attendance of child victims of sexual violence at these facilities in the city of Ouagadougou. To this end, we have opted for a qualitative approach in this study. A literature review and field surveys were carried out. The results show that the organizational and functional weaknesses of the support centers, as well as social representations of sexual violence, are indeed barriers to the demand for psychosocial support for child victims of sexual violence in the centers.
