A perfect conciliator of two complementary worlds (academic & professional), this internship was initiated as part of the validation of the achievements of the Master II program in Governance and Regional Integration at the Institute of Governance, Human and Social Sciences of the Pan-African University in Yaounde II. It enabled us to acquire the knowledge and know-how necessary for the skills and attitudes of a practising sociologist, in a variety of fields and areas of interest. We worked on the governance of Arab-Islamic institutions and their influence on the development of African countries: the case of Cameroon as a research theme. This led us to question this governance, to identify the viability of cooperation with Arab-Islamic institutions, its irreversibility and the extent to which it is rooted in the new socio-political and economic structure of African states, not to mention the very destiny of the continent itself. This report is an excellent guide to decision-making on cooperation between African states and Arab-Islamic institutions.
