The role of didactics in distance education student learning

Today's world is undergoing a very rapid process of innovation in all areas, and distance education is one of them. However, in order to implement quality education, implementers and educators are required not only to innovate technologically, but also, and above all, to adopt didactic-pedagogical practices suited to this new learning environment. In this context, a well-structured didactic approach is what will enable knowledge to be built that makes the student a critical citizen who is well prepared to face the great challenges that the globalised market presents.
