Inflammatory pathology of the breast accounts for around 5% of all consultations in the senology department. The etiologies are very diverse, corresponding in over 50% of cases to an infectious origin, rapidly resolving with medical treatment. In about 5% of cases, inflammatory cancers are involved. These cancers have a poor prognosis and require rapid multidisciplinary management. Clinically, they manifest as rapid-onset inflammatory signs with edema, often associated with a palpable breast mass or axillary adenopathy. Mammography reveals suspicious abnormalities. Ultrasound can help detect masses, but also guide percutaneous biopsy sampling. MRI is used to establish the best extension assessment and post-treatment follow-up.The aim of this book is to present an iconographic review of the various inflammatory lesions of the breast, with radio-histological correlations, and to suggest a course of action. The book is intended for radiologists and medical practitioners.
