In this study, Al6061 was reinforced with equal (4-16 wt. %) percentages ofSiC/MoS2 particles through stir casting technique. The cast samples were subjected toT6 Heat treatment. Artificial ageing treatment was carried out for a different du-ration (4-12 hours) with constant temperature of (155 o C). Wear tests was carried out by using pin on disc apparatus based on Taguchi's design, considering aging time, % reinforcement, speed, distance and load as input parameters. The concept of this project is to reduce the wear rate. The compositions of materials to be tested by using stir casting method to select the material combination for minimize the wear.Metal matrix composites (MMC) focuses primarily on improved specific strength, high temperature and wear resistance application. Aluminium matrix reinforced with Sic and MoS 2 in this project.Dry sliding wear behavior (AMC) analyzed with thehelp of pin on disc apparatus.
