Platform Switching

Platform switching is a concept in dental implantology that involves the use of an abutment with a smaller diameter than the implant fixture itself. In traditional dental implant systems, the diameter of the abutment matches that of the implant fixture. However, with platform switching, the abutment diameter is intentionally reduced compared to the implant fixture diameter.
