The previous research was carried out through a documentary analysis focused on specific topics related to plant nutrition applied to crops in general, with a practical approach directed to banana cultivation in the banana growing region of Uraba, located in the department of Antioquia, Colombia.The approach adopted in this study was based on complex thinking, with a transdisciplinary perspective contextualized in agrology, which considers both the physical and chemical properties of the soil as fundamental for the establishment of productive enterprises. The procedure followed started from general aspects that addressed climate as a determining factor in the formation of local environments, considering both the global context and the particularities of developed and Latin American countries. Based on this vision, theories were explored on the types of soils most conducive to agricultural productivity.countries located on both sides of the equatorial line stand out for their excellent conditions in terms of the availability of rainfall and an abundant supply of hours of sunlight.
