This thesis deals with cyberbullying, referring to its practice as a form of violence that can instigate the victim to commit a crime. From the point of view of criminology, in order to achieve the proposed objectives, an analysis was made of the variables that interfere with human conduct, relating crime, criminals and victims. Socialization processes were studied, considering the difficulties of the family and school institutions as agents of informal social control, referring to the growing intervention of formal control channels. In the context of the new reality that allows bullying to spread via the internet, the challenge of the Argentine and Brazilian legal systems in adapting to the peculiarities of cyberbullying is highlighted.
