This UV-spectrophotometric technique is quite simple, accurate, precise, reproducible, and sensitive. The UV method has been developed for quantification of Methylphenidate in tablet formulation. It involves absorbance measurement at 288 nm (?max of Methylphenidate) in Ethanol and distilled water (89:11) ratio. For the UV Spectrophotometric method, linearity was obtained in a concentration range of 1-50?g/ml for methylphenidate and with a regression value of 0.9998. Recovery was found in the range of 98-101%. The standard deviation and % RSD were found to be
