Consumer protection has been a concern of the United Nations since 1945. In line with this, African countries in general, and Chad in particular, have adopted domestic instruments to protect consumers, who have long been regarded as the weak link in contractual relations. As in other areas of everyday life, this need for protection has become particularly acute in the field of services created by the advent of information and communication technologies. As the Internet has now become an indispensable tool in human relations, the legislator, through Law No. 005/PR/2015 on consumer protection in Chad, has put in place a framework that should ensure optimum protection for consumers of Internet services. However, despite the establishment of this framework, there is still a certain vulnerability in this area. This is due to the existence of certain difficulties which are likely to dilute the efforts made by the legislator to this end.
