The book demonstrates that the virtual learning community (VLC) variable correlates with the English language proficiency variable. It is proved that it correlates with the dimensions oral intercommunication, reading of written documents and writing of diverse documents of the variable English language competences. Since these variables did not have a normal distribution due to their ordinal qualitative nature, Kendall's Tau correlation test was applied. A 20-question questionnaire was designed to measure the educational virtual community variable and a 20-question observation guide was designed to measure the English language competencies variable. The reliability requirement of the instrument was verified using Cronbach's alpha indicator and the validity requirement was verified through the judgment of 3 professional experts. The characterization of the study was quantitative, the design used was non-experimental of cross-sectional nature and the scope was relational. The population considered was 260 students and the sample was 155 students from the IE Libertador Simon Bolivar-Pativilca-Barranca-Lima Provincias.
